My name is Ma’ayan Pesach and I recently graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands, In the department Man and Leisure. My work is diverse and contains conceptual design, product, graphic and also art. Most of my project are influenced from my background and daily personal experiences in different aspects of life. I found out that I tend to be the observer in most situations and projects when starting. I document, analyze and question constantly while gathering the complete information. In most of my work I am trying to bring the fantasy and imagination to the viewer/user to stimulate their curiosity towards their everyday life.

Our most powerful memories relate to feelings, experiences, places, events and objects. These emotions last a lifetime and can be awakened by a particular smell, appearance, texture or sound. Food is a powerful instigator of such memories, and in my project, food is a tool that opens an instinctive door to nostalgia.

The material could be reshaped, molded and change thickness to become the base for functional objects, such as – bags, cups, textile, etc.

Herbs Grinder

After modeling and searching for the ideal ergonomic shape to hold and crush herbs, I have chosen for the basic shape of a pebble rock. The grinder is made from half glazed porcelain that together with the rock form creates the combination of a massive and strong rock, but also a delicate and soft touch of the porcelain.

Each has a different story and background; small jar, soft hairbrush, gentle scrubber, cleansing pot and a cup and an intimate cotton pointer. (The basic material I used for the set was half glazed ceramic with other attachable parts).
